I’ve been getting outside and doing a lot of painting recently, so I wanted to share some updates from my sketchbooks! I haven’t been sticking to a single sketchbook, but have been hopping around between books both large and small, with white paper, toned paper, and even loose-leaf paper. I’ve been playing with different media as well, even breaking out the charcoals at one point. It’s been a fun and challenging summer! Here is a random and unfiltered smattering of some sketchbook views.
I’ve been spending a lot of time prepping landscape sketches for larger paintings for upcoming shows. I’ve also been super enamored with florals this year. Doing teeny little life sketches of the pets while I’m sitting on the couch in the evening has also been sparking joy for me!
I’m really looking forward to sharing more completed paintings with the world very soon!
