During my Wonderland Trail hike in 2024, autumn came on strong and with a vengeance to Mount Rainier National Park. We got rained out just a few days into the 93 mile hike and had to bail for safety reasons, but got to pick up the itinerary again after a few more days. This was my first view of the mountain on the trail, hiking down from Sunrise to the White River Campground, and I felt triumphant and excited to be back on the trail to finish my hike.
