About Shelby
Shelby Pothier is a Shoreline, WA-based artist and designer that is deeply in love with the Pacific Northwest. She is known for her lush, vibrant watercolor paintings that capture both the micro- and macroscopic views of the region’s landscapes. Though she was born in Texas and graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from the University of North Texas, she always felt the pull of the PNW and moved to Washington as soon as she could. She unexpectedly picked up watercolor again as a lightweight medium that allowed her to travel far and capture what she saw and felt, and since then she’s been connecting with her audience through nostalgia and a shared love of their beautiful home. She has been featured at the Schack Art Center’s 40 Artists Under 40 and is currently featured on King County’s 4Culture Storefront Media Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
