This summer, as part of a gallery event that I was honored to be a part of, there was a plein air paint out at Magnuson Park, so of course I had to take part in it. Artists dotted the lakeshore in the section of park that I chose, and I settled in a shady spot that had a peekaboo view of Mount Rainier through the branches of the trees above where I stood. I painted from about 9:30am to 2pm before heading to the wet works show in the afternoon. I always love being surrounded by other artists when I paint, and love seeing everybody’s different interpretations of a place at the end of the day.
